I have been preoccupied for the last week or so because Mike has been down to visit. I apologize to everyone whom I owe a phone call or email. You shall all be hearing from me within the next few days, I promise. Mike leaves this afternoon and I seriously feel like my heart is being ripped out of my chest. This is not an exaggeration, I feel awful. Just when I was used to him being around all the time he is leaving again.

The positive side to this is that he is coming back for Easter which is only about 3 weeks away. Then I go up to NY for a wedding the first weekend of May and then he comes down for the summer 10 days later, so there is not a huge expanse of time between when we will see one another again. This last stretch was the longest we had to get through and honestly, I think it went rather fast. Granted I was/am totally distracted by work and I guess that is what I will throw myself back into.

I am making more friends at work. Time is passing and I am getting to know people better. There are a lot of very friendly people who work throughout the library.

Friends outside of work is still slow. I am committed to attending an S&B event this week if it kills me!

My plans for the rest of my weekend are rather boring. After I drop Mike off at the airport I will come home and clean my messy apartment, do laundry, return videos to BB, and probably just hang out with my new cat. Yes, I got a cat. His name is Dio and he looks EXACTLY like Darth Vader. I can not wait until they are both together because it is going to be hysterical to have two black cats running all over the place.

Tomorrow, I need to do some shoe and clothing shopping. Apparently Spring and Summer come very quickly here, as our 82 degree days this week would indicate, and I find myself with no clothes. I also desperately need some new shoes. I hate shopping, but somehow I think I will manage.
