Here I am. Another Saturday night. Drinking my cocktails and watching movies. Tonight I am watching “The Big One” by Michael Moore. Sometimes I think this man is my hero. I love knowing that he is out there fighting for the middle/lower class. I also rented “Notes on a Scandal.” I will probably get to that tomorrow night.
I spent all of today cleaning and sort of rearranging furniture in my apartment. I really needed to clean since I haven’t in about 3 weeks. My kitchen and bathroom were starting to scare me. I also did lots of laundry. Yay for a clean apartment and sheets.
I have nothing exciting to talk about. Can you tell?
Mike gets here in two weeks. The countdown begins.

Hi Surly Girly! Welcome to NC! I’m not sure how I got to your blog.
Anyhow! I don’t know if you’ve ever heard of the Raleigh Jaycees. We’re a leadership and volunteer organization with a little over 200 members for people 21-40 years of age. (I don’t know your age, but I hope this works for you.) We do lots of volunteer and social projects. We ALWAYS have people new to the area joining who don’t know anyone. I joined a few years ago when I realized that I didn’t know anyone in the Raleigh area and had no social life. Check us out at http://www.raleighjaycees.org
There are no minimum participation requirements to join. Please let me know if you want to know more about the Jaycees. Apex also has a Chapter. It’s a bit smaller than Raleigh’s chapter, but offers excellent opportunities as well.
Friday night, we’re going Ice Skating for a New Member/Guest social. Next Thursday, a group of around 15 – 20 is meeting in Morrisville for Indian food. We’d love to have you join us!! Please let me know if you have any questions about the group. The website has lots of good info.
