I am in such a foul mood this evening. I literally feel like steam is coming out of my ears and my head is throbbing. I don’t feel like talking about anything that has me so angry so let’s focus on something else.

Yesterday I partook of a free makeover I won from Mary Kay. In the course of the makeover I let the woman give me the “work for Mary Kay” spiel. I have to say it does sound appealing. No quotas, flexible hours, do your own thing, make comission, just $100 to start. Not too shabby. The woman who was doing my makeup is a first grade teacher who moved here from PA and started doing the MK thing to meet new people and to make some additional cash. In 6 months she made $4000 in commission, over $500 a month extra. Plus there are all sorts of tax breaks you can take advantage of. I could use an extra $500 a month to pay off some debt. Hell who couldn’t use some extra $$$$?

Then I thought would anyone really buy makeup from me? I love makeup and I know a lot of people who do too, but would anyone buy? MK lets you have your own website that they maintain, but has your ID on it so you get the sales commission. It is cool because then anyone with net access can buy from you, so if my family wanted to buy, they could without me being there.

It does sound very appealing. And it has been a while since I looked at Mary Kay cosmetics, but they have a lot of nice stuff these days.

So, would you buy makeup from me?
