I think it has been 10-14 days since Mike left for NY and I am here and oddly enough I am happier than I thought I would be. No slight against Mike, because I miss him to pieces, but I didn’t fall to pieces.

I have thrown myself back into work, which may sound like a big, fat distraction, but actually I really love it. I am getting back into the publishing and presenting end of things and am looking forward to a few conferences in the next two months.

I am also regularly back at the gym. I started taking the classes to ensure that I get a better work out. My goodness do I! First off the classes are 60 minutes long. Which may not sound like a lot, but I am used to the 45 minute class. Those extra 15 minutes are killer. Secondly, I am taking a step and a super insane toning class. You can all stop laughing at the image of me doing step. It is pretty pathetic, but I sweat my ass off and it is fun. The gym opens at 5am, so I am trying to go in the morning and do some cardio, then take the class in the evening. It depends on how much sleep I need.

The weekends have sort of shaped themselves. I spend a lot of time reading. I have just burned through books lately and I am enjoying having the time to catch up on all the piles of books I wanted to read.

The quiet is pretty insane. And I hate that it is football season and Mike is not here to watch the Eagles break my hurt again.

But life is good. I am happy, and that is really all that matters.
