1. What is/are your favorite yarn/s to knit with? What fibers do you absolutely *not* like?

My favorite fibers wool and alpaca. I absolutely hate acrylics. I am not very fond of cotton either.

2. What do you use to store your needles/hooks in?

I keep all of my supplies in a plastic storage bin.

3. How long have you been knitting & how did you learn? Would you consider your skill level to be beginner, intermediate or advanced?

I have been seriously knitting for 5 years, but learned over 20 years ago. I would consider myself an advanced intermediate knitter.

4. Do you have an Amazon or other online wish list?

I have an Amazon wish list.

5. What’s your favorite scent? (for candles, bath products, etc.)

I love anything almond scented. I like light scents like citrus. I do not like anything “cotton” scented.

6. Do you have a sweet tooth? Favorite candy?

I have a sour tooth. I love any kind of sour candy. My favorite candy is red sour power belts.

7. What other crafts or Do-It-Yourself things do you like to do? Do you spin?

I really don’t do any other crafts. I just knit. I am a beginning spinner.

8. What kind of music do you like? Can your computer/stereo play MP3s? (if your buddy wants to make you a CD)

I can play MP3s in my car and at home. See this page for musical taste.

9. What’s your favorite color(s)? Any colors you just can’t stand?

Red, orange, green, purple, blue. I like deep, autumn colors. I hate the color yellow and am not a big fan of pink.

10. What is your family situation? Do you have any pets?

I live with my boyfriend and our 3 cats, Abe Vigoda, Dio and Darth Vader.

11. Do you wear scarves, hats, mittens or ponchos?

I wear scarves, hats, and mittens, but will never wear a poncho.

12. What is/are your favorite item/s to knit?

I love knitting sweaters, scarves, and felted bags.

13. What are you knitting right now?

15 different projects, mostly baby or child-size items.

14. Do you like to receive handmade gifts?

Absolutely.

15. Do you prefer straight or circular needles? Bamboo, aluminum, plastic?

I prefer circular needles. I am not a fan of aluminum needles and I love my Denise set to death!

16. Do you own a yarn winder and/or swift?

I own a ball winder and a swift.

17. How old is your oldest UFO?

2 months.

18. What is your favorite holiday?

Halloween.

19. Is there anything that you collect?

I collect Funco Bobble head dolls, frog figures, yarn, shoes, and handbags.

20. Any books, yarns, needles or patterns out there you are dying to get your hands on? What knitting magazine subscriptions do you have?

I subscribe to Vogue Knitting, and Interweave Knits. I would like a subscription to Craft magazine.

21. Are there any new techniques you’d like to learn?

Intarsia.

22. Are you a sock knitter? What are your foot measurements?

I have knit a sock. I am a size 9.
